Eriko randomly runs into a gentleman in a hospital during her private treatment and he happens to be the killer in the case she is about to take minutes after. I am a bit shocked, but there are odds. She is just lucky this time. Four witnesses happen to be on scenes of the murder. They happen to know each other. They happen to know the victims and what they did while the police experience difficulty to identify them. They happen to know the under-covered truth of the murderer and all of them decide to come to the police with the same fake story to protect him. Really?
It is OK for the writer to think that people are stupid enough to buy all these, but his absurdity exposed in EP04 makes me start to worry about the rest of this show. It feels like a second ‘gold’ is coming up.
Just like the opening joke of Eriko’s death. Nothing in this case is believable and logistic. The ridiculousness lies not only in the case itself but also the way how it is presented.
The story of case
From my point of view, the reason of the old lady’s suicide is not the pain caused by the deception, but the isolation and indifference of the world around her especially the carelessness of her own kids. A mum cannot tell whether a call is from her son or not. A son did nothing after this happened to his mum or maybe even did not care enough to figure out what was going on. I cannot tell how much 4 million YEN worth but the loss of this money is definitely not the right accuse of a suicide in a developed society.
It is bad to trick someone for money but it is worse to kill a tricker without a justified death-penalty. I wonder how a person can really appreciate and respect the sweetness of a life while he is heartless enough to commit a murder.
The delivery
The killer can locate and kill most of the trickers in the group. He managed to put a bloody photo in the elevator but cannot give the guy a bullet before Eriko was involved.
A person with a half functioning brain cannot clean his footprint but is capable of all the killing and fighting.
What is the point to the show the hairless-guy rolling down from the staircase and why the suspect fell before anyone touched him.
The funny turns into silly with a crap case.
One of the only two saving graces is the acting of the gentleman killer and another is the cute Eriko that I will never get enough of. The rest of show, just a joke!
The repeated use of some protective steel equipment leads me to the thought that the BOSS team might try to save some budget and here comes my suggestion. Get a couch, a cup of tea and let Yuri read the script in front of the camera. I am sure I can enjoy more of that than EP04.
Really enjoy the gif with speaking out the title.]
