[size=36]We go back to Shoreditch in 1969 and take a look at their experimental music school, teaching children about the methods of then-contemporary music.[/size]
Needless to say, this is the mother of all Throwback Thursdays we’ve shown you. Music in 1969 was epitomised by the likes of John Lennon, Woodstock, David Bowie and King Crimson but the technological advances within electronic music were becoming more sophisticated. At this “experimental music school” in Shoreditch, a group of children were taught a wide range of techniques with the introduction of tape loops and the use of electric circuits. Most engineers have opted for digital hard disks over reel-to-reel tapes now but this video acts as a time capsule into the kind of innovative music being made in the late 60s and into the 70s.]
