The thigh geometry is still there it is just set to render fully transparent. Transparency ..................... 1.000 Transparency_Edge ........ 0.000 Transparency_Falloff ... 0.000 |

A displacement map has the ability to effectively change the shape of the geometry at render time. The lighter the area of the map the further the geometry is displaced. Here the laces are made to appear raised by painting them white on the displacement map. The degree of displacement is in Poser units. For this example a value of 0.0035 was found to be best. For an on line example of how effective displacement maps can be see http://www.philc.net/tutorial8.php The map is also used here in conjunction with a Blender node to apply highlights to the raised sections. |
Have a look at the other included examples. Please note that they are intended to show the method whereby textures, transparencies and displacement maps may be applied. The resolution and quality of the textures themselves is low. Textures may be applied at any time during the creation process. Seam guides are provided. They may be found in RuntimePythonposerScriptsPhilCShoe Designertextures The Shoe Designer has been created with the expectation that the user will very quickly form the conforming shoes in the desired shape for their selected figure. They will then will spend the bulk of their creative energies in developing their own textures to make truly unique imaginative designs. |
