Looks like Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is the next game in Ubisoft’s stealth series, and we’ll be playing it this fall.
Destructoid got its hands on some Gamestop promotional material for the new game, a mockup box art that touts its new online multiplayer mode and details the plot of the single-player portion: Ezio, protagonist of Assassin’s Creed II, will return as the leader of a band of assassins, traveling to new locations in Italy including Rome.
Ubisoft said in January that it would release the next Assassin’s Creed game during this fiscal year. The promo materials state that it will be available in Fall 2010.
A tipster sent Kotaku a less-sharp version of the promo box art. The blog got confirmation from Ubisoft that the image is accurate and that more details will be released next week.
The Assassin’s Creed series takes players on a trip through time where they slip into the skin of a master killer during different periods in history. Last year’s Assassin’s Creed 2 took place during the Italian Renaissance.
